The Bad calendar is used by members of the Bah Faith. This solar calendar consists of 19 months, each with 19 days, totaling 361 days. An intercalary period of “Ayym-i-H” (Intercalary Days), between the 18th and 19th months, adds the necessary days to align with the solar year. In 2024-2025, these intercalary days will fall between February 26th and March 1st. Each new year, Naw-Rz, coincides with the vernal equinox, typically on March 20th or 21st. Days within each month are named after attributes of God. The calendar is a core aspect of Bah religious observance, determining the dates of holy days, feasts, and fasts.
